One could say that ridiculous “they don’t need armor because magic” argument when talking about the witches, but then that should apply to generic-her-boy-Alto the most because he’s one of the most powerful magic wielder in the whole story. Because let’s be honest, I’m not sure everyone could handle the male-empowerment that Keith displays.
Alto is the player-character, so of course the game wouldn’t have you play as say, Keith, because they want to be extra sure that your fully clothed at all times. Ewan’s wearing shorts so that’s, uhh…something? The most revealing armour a guy wears is Keith, which only has a bare stomach.

Sakura’s prior job was a performer of sorts, so her dress isn’t a problem for her job, but she continues to wear it into combat, which makes no sense at all.
